Local information - Throgmorton Street, London

London Wall, just to the north of Throgmorton Street, was the Roman bastion with Bishopsgate and Moorgate as the gates in the wall for Roman and Anglo Saxon soldiers to march through. It was re-developed in the 18th century and has continued to change into what it has become today.

Covered by what is know as "The City" and perfectly located at the heart of London's financial district, the surrounding streets are home to many major banks and other financial institutions. In fact, just a few minutes walk south is Threadneedle Street, home to the Bank of England and the Stock Exchange.
