Local information - Bloomsbury, London

Situated on the edge of London's theatre-land, Bloomsbury has long been associated with London intellectualism and is today home to a staggering variety of academic institutions including the University of London, University College and the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Because of its proximity to both the city and the countryside, the area became fashionable in the 18th Century, with many imposing family townhouses being built and starting the areas renown for architecture. This was later enhanced when The British Museum was redsigned and was given it's grand colonnaded façade and spacious interior.

With several high-profile conference centres nearby this unbranded building is also close to Grays Inn Road which is considered a major part of Londons 'legal' district where many of the city's major law firms are based.
